is made only from high quality Audio Grade components in view
of the high sound quality and a long lifetime.
INTEGRA 88
has a remote-controlled volumemeter from ALPS, but not used as
a direct part of the signal path. Specially selected fixed resitors
are put both in series and in parallel of the volume meter to
improve the sound quality radically.
INTEGRA 88
have two Line Inputs and Speaker Output terminated with gold plated
solid copper terminals from WBT.
Overdimensioned power
supply to speed up any speaker on the market.
INTEGRA 88 has a nominal output of "only" 2 x 125 Watts
at 8W, but it is backed up with an 800 VA torroidal transformer
and almost 100,000 µF in the capacitor section. Due to the
non feedback circuitry and the heavy power supply, the INTEGRA
88 can drive any difficult speaker load with ease. As such you
will experience no speakers on the market lacking power even during
the most powerful passages in the music.
Carefully selected
components in construction.
All the electronics of the INTEGRA 88 are placed on one large
double sided printed curcuit board. The same applies to the goldplated
WBT & RCA Phono sockets, the special made goldplated input
selector and the motorized volume control from ALPS. Capacitors
in signal path are special Audio Grade copper foil capacitors
and all "standard" resistors are selected carbon film
resistors, and finally are all critical resitors directly terminated
solid carbon resistors.
Impedance matching
for signal cables
INTEGRA 88 is equipped with a fixed 800W input impedance for the
CD input. The 800W make a much closer approach to the characteristic
impedance of signal cables. By utilizing the 800W input inpedance
a much better stereo perspective is obtained with much better
point of source in the soundstage.
